Felix Cardenas

Felix was born in Cali, Colombia and lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family. He touched the lives of many through his warm heart, and generous spirit. He was one of eight siblings, and his early years were shaped by the strong family bonds and values that remained important to him throughout his life.

Felix witnessed tremendous changes throughout his lifetime and embraced them with curiosity and enthusiasm. He developed a deep appreciation for technology and innovation, evolving with the times. From an early age, Felix developed a lifelong love of trains, inspired by his father’s career working with railroads. That passion remained with him throughout his life and was a source of fond memories and fascination.

He had a remarkable talent for mathematics and was known for being able to fix just about anything around the house. He also enjoyed collecting watches, pens, and hats, hobbies that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and style.

Throughout his life, Felix had an exceptional sense of style and elegance.

Above all, Felix cherished his family, who were his greatest joy and most precious blessing. He loved music and dancing and could often be found enjoying a favorite song and sharing a dance with those he loved. He was passionate for soccer and loved ice cream and pandebono. His passion for life and joyful spirit remained with him until the very end.

Felix is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Cardenas, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage; his children, Eduardo, Claudia, and Sandra; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Stephanie, Steven, Anthony, and Jessica; and his great-grandchildren, Aaron, Uriah, and Pablo.

Those who knew Felix will remember him as a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather , loyal friend, and a man whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at National Cremation & Burial Society, 3453 Hancock Bridge Pkwy, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.

Felix Cardenas will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Felix Cardenas, de 95 años, fue a descansar con el Señor el 27 de mayo de 2026.

Felix nació en Cali, Colombia, y vivió una vida marcada por la bondad, la compasión, el sacrificio y una dedicación inquebrantable a su familia. Tocó la vida de muchas personas gracias a su gran corazón, su generosidad y su sincera preocupación por los demás. Fue uno de ocho hermanos, y creció rodeado de fuertes valores familiares y lazos cercanos que permanecieron importantes para él durante toda su vida.

Desde muy joven, Felix desarrolló un amor por los trenes, inspirado por la carrera de su padre que trabajó toda su vida en los ferrocarriles. Esa pasión lo acompañó durante toda su vida y le brindó muchos recuerdos entrañables de su niñez . Siempre recibió los cambios con curiosidad y entusiasmo, incluyendo un gran interés por la tecnología. Tenía un talento excepcional para las matemáticas y una habilidad natural para reparar prácticamente cualquier cosa. Con frecuencia era la persona a quien familiares y amigos acudían cuando algo necesitaba arreglo. También disfrutaba coleccionar relojes, sombreros y lapiceros aficiones que reflejaban su aprecio por los detalles y el estilo clásico.

Felix era conocido por su excelente sentido de elegancia al vestir y se enorgullecía de presentarse siempre con distinción y cuidado.

Por encima de todo, Felix amaba a su familia, que fue su mayor alegría y su bendición más preciada. Amaba la música y el buen baile, y con frecuencia se le podía encontrar disfrutando de una canción favorita o compartiendo un baile con sus seres queridos. Apasionado por el futbol y le gustaba mucho los helados, galletas, pandebono y un buen café. Su pasión por la vida y su espíritu alegre permanecieron con él hasta el final.

Felix deja a su amada esposa, Ruby Cardenas, con quien compartió 66 maravillosos años de matrimonio; a sus hijos, Eduardo, Claudia y Sandra; a sus nietos, Christopher, Jonathan, Stephanie, Steven, Anthony y Jessica; y a sus bisnietos, Aaron, Uriah y Pablo.

Quienes tuvieron la fortuna de conocer a Felix lo recordarán como un esposo amoroso, un padre y abuelo dedicado, un amigo leal y un hombre cuya bondad dejó una huella imborrable en todos los que lo conocieron. Su recuerdo vivirá para siempre en los corazones de quienes lo amaron.
